Assessments

Clear, careful evaluations, so you can understand what is going on and what helps.

Understanding what is going on

An assessment is a structured way of understanding what is happening, so we can find what actually helps. I provide psychological and neuropsychological evaluation for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults.

People come with many different questions, and a careful evaluation can bring clarity where things have felt confusing.

What I can evaluate

  • Attention and ADHD
  • Learning and cognitive difficulties
  • Memory and questions of cognitive change in older adults
  • Personality and emotional functioning
  • Broader questions of cognition and how it shapes daily life

What the process looks like

A full evaluation usually begins with a clinical interview, followed by testing. Testing is detailed work and is often scheduled in blocks of a few hours, sometimes in shorter sessions for children.

The tests are then scored and interpreted, and the findings are brought together in a written report you can actually use, in school, in treatment, or in your own understanding.

Fees for assessment are discussed openly before we begin. You can read more on the Policies page.

Have a question you would like answered?

If an evaluation might help, the first step is a simple conversation. We can talk through what is on your mind and whether an assessment is the right path.
